Above all crystals, Lemurian seed crystals fascinate me the most. Their glowing clarity, distinctive shape and amazing properties have captivated my attention since I first saw one.
Thank you to Kimyko for putting me in touch with an obscure crystal dealer on the East Coast who had some Lemurians to sell. After contacting the dealer and chatting for a bit, he indicated the source of the crystals. As the Serro do Cobral mines in Menas Gerais are no longer producing ( most Lemurians coming from Brazil are older stock from when the mines were active). I was more than interested in their origins.
There followed the kind of story that made my heart beat fast. In 1996 Lemurians were not well known in crystal circles, but the mine was producing some of the finest of this new, strange crystal. A dealer at the Tuscon Crystal show( A Big wholesale event) had a number of these crystals, and they did not sell(absolutely Unheard of today). The dealer dutifully repacked them, shipped them to his warehouse and promptly forgot about them.
10 years pass before they are discovered. They then fell into the hands of a small dealer to distribute. So, I arranged to travel for 2 days to meet the dealer and examine the Crystals.
Having seen more than my share of common quartz and Diamantina quartz passed off as real Lemurians my expectations were guarded.
So after the first day of travel we arrived to visit a gifter and friend,. Happyhelper as he is known on the board. It is always good to see him. After much conversation, a fine meal and a good night's sleep we were off again to meet the dealer.
He proved to be a very knowledgeable and interesting individual. The crystals were indeed Lemurian, WRAPPED IN 1996 NEWSPAPER from MINAS BRAZIL and 1999 from Tuscon AZ. The story checked out.
I sat down and began to unwrap crystals that had not seen the light of day for ten or 13 years.
What I unwrapped left me absolutely speechless. They were all of an unusually high grade (not readily available today) and Totally polished to flawless perfection. Crystal after crystal of the most stunning specimens I have ever seen. My fingers began turning black from the old newsprint as each crystal was more beautiful than the last.
"I will take them", I said, and the dealer asked me how many.
"All of them", I whispered.
Then he asked if I would be interested in 5 extremely large Lemurians in natural condition that were in the lot. Including a Perfect 7 3 7 3 7 3 sided Dow crystal.
The 5 Lemurians were Huge and in perfect condition. "I will take those too", as I mentally wondered how I would pay my bills this month(and the next few, lol)
We did not unwrap the rest until returning home. The rest were even more amazing than those we had looked at.
I will post pictures in this thread as they are photographed and cataloged.

So, so awesome!! I am so happy that these magical crystals have found such a wonderful home!!
And, for the record, I had purchased a couple of the highly polished Lemurians that Sensei mentions about a month ago and they are, indeed, beautiful - especially on a light box .
Regards,
K

PS - mine were wrapped in that same paper _________________ Live in joy!

I took some pictures of the dow crystal mentioned above and it will never be for sale... It's now mine... though I will most likely have to wrestle Sensei's cat for it...

OH MY GOODNESS!
Stunning. Many thanks for posting. The cat one had me laughing
I lived near Mt. Shasta for about 14 months. A remarkable mountain indeed.
That is quite a store. Would love to hear all those bowls without the quality loss hehe _________________ "Life is a flower of which love is the honey"

Yep!
some nice pieces there.
MT.Shasta sounds a very interesting place. Nice place to be.
Did you hear her say about the 3 lorry loads of lemurian crystals that turned up there and that are in storage there, on the vid(can that be so!?)
and some on display. That's A WHOLE LOTTA LEMURIAN CRYSTAL!!!
Actually a 'Lemurian crystal bowl' would be quite something...interesting...hmmm..just thought of that...
maybe one day!
Enjoy!
