Selenite is an alternate name for the mineral Gypsum. The word Selenite comes from the Greek “selenites”, meaning “moon stone” or “moon rock”, with the root word “Selene” meaning “Moon”, and for good reason - the mineral Selenite is the near transparent and colourless crystal form of Gypsum that exudes a pearly lustre which glows and can very much resemble the moon. Selene is also the name of the Greek Goddess of the Moon (a.k.a. Artemis or Diana).

Desert Rose Selenite is a mixture of Optical Selenite and Sand.

I might be interested in a piece or two for use in orgonite. I have one already, but I will not use anything I have only one of in orgonite (for obvious reasons). I might be able to get you some titanium quartz if you're interested, or a piece of green talc from Vermont.

I have always found these to have a better vibe than blade selenite, personally. They feel "alive"

is this kind differnet?- They are both referred to as "desert rose" i belive..

I believe its just from a different region and looks to have more sand than selenite in the mix to me. But yeah its Desert Rose.
