I just wanted to check whether anyone tried to add wooden shavings to the resin/metal mix?
I guess wood has some special properties(ie sap) that could be interesting. |

You can certainly put wood shavings in Orgonite and all you are doing is adding the frequency/caracter of the wood into the mix: modulating the base frequency, and thereby changing the energy of the Orgonite.
I have intoduced different woods in many pieces, lignum vitae, cedar, white oak, pine, herbs as well, all of those add in a good way to the energy output, The Orgonite will amplify what you put in it

Just my thoughts, I would add it more as a spice than a filler, or it could reduce the compression. I think I will try some ceder in my next pour.

I have made Orgonite using different medium other than resin, and with those mediums, not subjected to compression on the crystals the strength and energy output did not seem to be affected, so piezo electric affect may not be as big a deal as previously thought
Experiment and see
