Is there a reason the wire needs to be twisted counter clockwise? I did my first one by hand counter clockwise but the second one I made needed much more wire so I used a drill but it only turns clockwise.
And is there any way to figure out how much wire you will need before you twist it? I keep wasting loads of wire. |

Actually, if the drill turns clockwise, the twisted wire should be counterclockwise.
I eventually got a feel for the right length, but it did take some wire, though.

(EDIT: If this reads a bit weird its because it was a response to a post that disapeared in the time I took to write this)
Hmm... I've read that mutiple times now.
You speak as if the answer is there so I suppose either I'm missing something or you're misunderstanding my question.
Just to clarify I'm not asking how to tell how much twisted wire is needed. I saw that part (wrap it round the crystal).
It's how much wire to cut before I start twisting it.
My flawed logic led me to try cutting a small length of wire, measuring it and then twisting it. I then measured the twisted wire and compared it to the untwisted length. It was around a third of the size.
So I wrapped an untwisted wire around the crystal measured how much was needed and then mutiplied it by three. When I twisted it there was far too much.
If the answer is actually in there then I appologise for my carelessness but it looks like I need you to hold my hand in public lol.
Thanks for all your guides btw. I might not have started making orgonite if it was'nt for your videos on yotube. |

Suggestion.. wrap extra length and cut off what is not needed.
Wire is cheap,...frustration is expensive....life is short.
Practice will answer your question,

No worries.
I'll just keep lowering my ratio until I find the right one.
The clockwise thing though, is it bad? My drill turns the way you would tighten a screw. The energy off the clockwise one feels different to the anti-clockwise but its a different crystal and a different gauge wire so I would expect it to be different. I guess I'm just scared it will have a harmful effect or something if it goes the wrong way. |

just curious, what kindof wire is that btw? the blue kind in the initial post, i bought some 26 guage wire myself but i dont think it was the right kind, the plastic coating on what i bought was too thick and the twist would not hold it's form properly, as in it kept loosening, i guess im wondering wht the name/brand/type of wire it is sensei uses in his coils shown here, i keep thinking i read some where it was called kynar but i want to be extra sure before i go out and buy more wire and risk it not working out, thanks in advance

might i ask where you get your wire? as yours seems to behave well under these circumstances, like i said i bought stranded wire of the apropriate gauge and the rubber insulation was too thick to twist the wire properly, do you have a link/name of the wire you use? thanks again

I am personally a fan of solid core wire, but then I use powerful square wave muscle stimulators to power my coils. The intense energy magnifies everything including wire effects. I found that stranded wire produced a more chaotic or fuzzy energy. That was never noticeable though in my early days with battery powered coils. However, it makes me think that solid core may have subtle superiority in even the lower voltage devices. I also think the solid core wire stays twisted better, bu it is more subject to breaking. You really need a test meter to make sure there is still continuity in your wire after it has been twisted anyway. A cheapo radio Shack meter works just fine, and it can also give you clues as to how much energy is actuall running through the wire. A resistor also helps quite a bit.

A trick for getting the wire to stay twisted is to affix the two ends to a long board, deck railing, or whatever outside in the hot sun for a few hours. The heat will soften the insulation and make is conform better to the twist. _________________ My web site "Orgonia"

Good idea emlong. I always twist past 45, so when it loosens, it will be right.
Again more practice.

can someone postb a link to an online place that sells the same kind sensei uses, or give me a specific brand name/type to google? as well as the solid core stuff, i'm looking to include some of that anyways in an upcoming project, emlong, where do you got your 26 awg coated single wire from? is there a brand/name i can lookup or dop you have a link ready for it? again i dont need links as much as i need a specific name of product and definition of that product
sorry if im being noobish, just looking for clarity cuz i already bought the wrong wire once, i wanna be extra sure ofv wjhat i need before i buy any new materials. so yeah, emlong/sensei, what brand and type of wire do you both purchase and what are their names that i can search on google and find the same type you both use?
again thankyou for your time answering my questions
