They're steel BBs, plain (silver) and plated with copper or brass. Look for BBs in the sporting goods departments at Fred Meyer and Walmart. The cases are kept locked, so you have to call for assistance to buy them. Larger sizes are sold as sling shot ammo.

The steel in the BBs adds a base note to the energy chord, and seems to have an antenna function in these modified induction style pieces. They're placed one at a time- there's no other way to do it. There are 36 BBs (plus or minus 1) in each piece.

If you decide to try pouring with them, remember to go light on the catalyst to give yourself enough work time to place your BBs Very Happy

Oops! Those were the cupcakes. The bonbons have brass key shavings, free for the asking from places that cut keys. If you bring them some orgonite and a container many places will be willing to save them for you:)

The colors are from metal oxide ceramic glaze powders, 40 micron/ 320 mesh, if I remember right. Check out your local ceramic supply! They also carry the basic iron oxides- black, red, and yellow, at a very reasonable price.

I found a source within a mile of my house that I didn't even know was there.

I found a local (ish) supplier, so have ordered a few to try it out. Looking forward to getting them. Thanks for the tip Ruth. I think they could make a nice contrast to layers of pearlex dye in a pyramid... Very Happy

Peace

The opaque colors work really well with the cheap resin. I combine the 3M with the Sylmar 41- their coefficient of expansion matches up well. The Sylmar 249- not so well. Temperature extremes can cause post cure cracking when combining 41, 3M, and 249. Sometimes I'll mix 41 with 3M 50/50 if the color requires it. When using different resins together I use the catalyst from 3M for all of them.
